In the News: Paid Leave for Emergency Responders

Updated: May 1

GCPFFP President, Ross Neugeboren, was featured on today''s Spectrum News broadcast. Neugeboren offered comments on the work done by the GCPFFP and county commissioners so far to provide Guilford County's Paramedics, EMT's, FFs, and support staff, with a supplemental leave.

As Commissioner Skip Alston stated, the 7-day leave benefit provided "a small way of thanking our first responders." The GCPFFP continues to pursue issues that impact those on the front lines of the global health pandemic, such as presumptive language for worker's compensation addressing infectious disease exposures. The dedication shown by our providers during this crisis is a testament to their unwavering commitment to this community, and we're committed to advocating for them.

Thank you Spectrum News North Carolina FOX8 and the Greensboro News & Record for coverage so far.
